Solid timber home takes earthquake resistant test

Japan Log House Association performed a test simulating an earthquake magnitude 7.3 in Richter scale, proving that solid timber homes are incredibly durable.

Forming a rigid structure and being both flexible and stout, YZY Kit Homes can withstand earthquakes and cyclones.

Our homes are an excellent choice for seismic areas due to their flexible and robust structure. The factory has extensive experience in designing and delivering homes to seismic regions such as Japan and Italy. Because of the way buildings are designed YZY Kit Homes have the superb earthquake resistance.

Construction of the structure consists of tongue & groove milled solid timber logs interlocking with crossing walls in the corners and in one or more points with crossing internal walls. Buildings have a robust angular bisector joint at the corners that keeps the structure solid in extreme weather events.
