Sicilia Panorama 30 Pilates studio – Sunshine Coast, QLD
Situated poolside and surrounded by palms, the stylish Sicilia Panorama 30 backyard cabin looks right at home as a pilates studio in sunny Queensland. The panoramic windows and French doors allow the occupants to enjoy the tropical view, while double glazing and solid timber walls mean the internal temperature remains comfortable with minimal need for artificial cooling. The front deck creates a welcoming entrance, and the optional side walls provide added peace and privacy during classes.
The natural timber finish of the exterior blends beautifully with the surroundings and our clients couldn’t be happier with their gorgeous and serene space. Our building partner who constructed the studio was equally impressed with the end result too.

Rhodes two-bedroom granny flat – Ourimbah, NSW
Ever since our building partners Custom Creations constructed the popular Rhodes at our display village in Ourimbah, NSW, it has been a hit with visitors looking for a traditional design with a modern twist.
The classic Australian verandah provides character and street appeal, making it well-suited to both rural and urban environments. Inside, the pitched ceilings, exposed beams and bright colour scheme provide a wonderful sense of space, while the timber walls and ceiling add warmth and help create a healthy and sustainable home. With two bedrooms, a modern bathroom and a large, comfortable open plan living area that opens to the front verandah, it’s ideal as a granny flat, teenagers’ retreat or guest accommodation. Guest accommodation – Armidale, NSW
Our clients Christine and Guy often had guests stay, but when they moved to a smaller home in Armidale in the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales it began to feel a bit crowded. They were delighted to discover that our custom Corsica 30 cabin was the ideal solution. As Guy explains:
‘We like to be able to entertain friends who are passing through, either going to Brisbane or passing down to Sydney. And we wanted some space where they could be comfortable, self-contained.’
With open plan living, kitchen and dining area, plus an ensuite bedroom, this guest accommodation ticks every box.
Iceland two-bedroom granny – Ourimbah, NSW
Custom Creations built a second granny flat at our Ourimbah display village, the contemporary two-bedroom Iceland design. The raked ceilings and abundance of windows give the living space a bright and spacious look and feel, while the undercover verandah provides a comfortable place to enjoy the outdoors away from the elements.

Skyros 19 spa cabin – Central Coast, NSW
When our clients were looking for a stylish backyard retreat to accompany their spa, the Skyros 19 cabin was the perfect match. The full-length timber windows open out to the large timber deck, creating an easy flow from the inside to out. The exterior colours give the cabin a modern look, while the energy efficient design maintains a comfortable temperature inside year round.

Ibiza two-bedroom house – Otago, New Zealand
In the South Island of New Zealand, the natural beauty and warmth of timber really shine in this gorgeous compact two-bedroom home. Designed with healthy, modern living in mind, the Ibiza includes a bright open plan living space that runs the length of the house. The full size windows bring in the light and views, while also opening out to provide easy access to the versatile front verandah.

Multi-purpose cabins
Our cabins and granny flats are extremely versatile. In 2021, we saw many cabins built as a home office, guest accommodation, pool house, teenage retreat, hobby and sports studio, music room, extra room for kids to play, watch movies or just a backyard getaway to read and just be. Some use our cabins as a multi-purpose room. What people want to use them for, it is entirely open to ones imagination.
